  • NERIST Entrance Exam National Exam (NEE)


NEE, it is often elaborated as the NERIST Entrance Exam. It is an entrance examination dedicated to the students by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science And Technology. The entrance exam is conducted for the purpose of B.Tech admissions to the programs available at the institute. The entrance examination takes place at multiple locations in variant states named as Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tripura Nagaland Assam, Manipur and Mizoram.

NERIST Entrance Exam Eligibility:

The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to appear for NEE as mentioned below:

1. Candidates are required to make sure who are appearing for NEE that they are not more than 23 year as on July 31, 2018. This is valid for the students belonging to General category. Moreover, one of the directions is that candidates can be a maximum of 26 years, born on or after August 1, 1994. This is applicable for OBC and female applicants. For ST/SC/PD (born on or after August 1, 1989), the maximum age can be 28 years.
2. Candidates and the applicants are required to be cleared with their 10+2 examination in the subject list of PCM/PCB with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as main subjects.
3. Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the listed branches who are seeking an entry through NEE (Vocational) exam. The common branches which are followed and offered are - Electronics and Communications Engineering, Construction Technology, Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Processing (FP), Farm Equipment, Civil Engineering, Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance.

NERIST Entrance Exam Pattern:-
1. A single question paper of 150 marks is provided while giving NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE). The total duration of three hours will be given to solve the exam. The exam paper of NEE 2018 usually consists of 3 to 4 sections.
2. NEE (PCM): Those candidates and applicants, who are seeking admission in the course of Diploma Module of Technology Stream, have to deal with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics question base. Section A, Section B and Section C are the three sections which will be asked in the paper.
3. NEE (Vocational): Candidates with a minimum qualification of 10+2 (Vocational)/ITI/NERIST Certificate shall attempt NEE (Vocational) who are currently appearing for Diploma Module of Technology Stream. Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D are the four sections supported by the exam paper. Two sub-sections in Section D, i.e., Common Engineering Sciences, and Engineering Trade/Subject will be given in the paper pattern as well.
4. NEEI (PCB): Section A, Section B and Section C are the three sections which will be given under this paper pattern. Candidates who are thinking of appearing in the 4 year forestry exam should have at least a minimum of 10+2 standardization with the subjects named as Science group of subjects i.e. PCB - Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
