Overview:

RGIPT stands for Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology. It is one of the most reputed institutes located at Jais, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh via a defined act of Parliament. Moreover, the institute has been awarded the status of an “Institute of National Importance” just like the renowned institutes of India, called as IITs. Being accepted and recognized by the government so the institute is capable of awarding degrees via its own right. Along with education, it has tie ups with leading Oil agencies as well such as – HPCL, ONGC, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and IOCL.The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology offers a number of courses – Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates. In addition, it provides facility of opting for MBA as well as other technical programs too. Eligibility:
1. Candidates and applicants should have cleared the senior secondary examination with a minimum percentage aggregate of 60%
2. For SC and ST candidates and applicants, the relaxation of 5% will be given. They are directed to score at least 55% in the XII standard for the qualifying examination.
3. Applicants can get admission on the basis of the common merit list showcased of the IIT-JEE. The marks of IIT-JEE of the current year will be valid along with the extended merit list.
4. Applicants and aspirants who have listed themselves in the reservation category can only be on the basis of the list or norm represented by the Government of India.
5. Applicants must be of Indian Citizenship.

Pattern:
1. The examination of RGIPT will be conducted in the English mode only.
2. Since, the examination will be conducted in an online format, so CBT method will be followed.
3. The examination pattern and structure will be similar to the Graduate Aptitude Test.
4. All the questions will be of objective nature; hence candidates have to choose one option out of all.
5. No negative marking scheme is followed, so no deduction of marks will take place.
