This is the study of designing, construction and maintenance of physically and naturally built environment like dams, sewerages, roads, bridges, canals, buildings, airports, ports, etc. This type of engineering is required at all sectors public, private, international companies and individual homeowners. Civil Engineering has come a long way and is one of the oldest of engineering. It has been further subdivided into various disciplines naming a few, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering and transportation engineering.
Degree Awarded :The candidate applying for undergraduate degree B.Tech in Civil Engineering should have passed 12th standard exams in physics, chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50% marks. He/She should have also cleared entrance exams namely JEE, BITSAT, TNEA, SRMJEEE, etc depending upon the institute they have opted for.
One is eligible for admission in M.E/M.Tech id he/she has passed B.E/B.Tech in the same field and has a good, valid GATE score.
