Manufacturing is a conversion of raw materials to products for sale or use. Manufacturing Engineering teaches about the different manufacturing practices and research & development of tools, processes, machines, and equipment. The study comprises of dealing with the quality of the product. Manufacturing Engineering course falls under the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The course is available on both UG and PG levels namely B.E, B. Tech, M.E, and M. Tech. The admission to the course is done through entrance exams. The PG course teaches about the advanced engineering problems in the industrial production area.
Eligibility Criteria :Entrance Exams for IITs & NITs is JEE whereas some institutes have their own entrance exams to be conducted.
For M. Tech :-Applicants for M. Tech should have a graduate degree in B.E. / B. Tech degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Material Science/Manufacturing/Industry/ Metallurgy Engineering with a valid GATE score.
