Thermal and Fluid Engineering is a specialized course in Mechanical Engineering. It is a two year M. Tech degree course. With the increase in demand of engineers in energy and process sector, the demand of engineers from the thermal and fluid background is also increasing. This course provides experimental along with the theoretical knowledge to the students. It is suitable for engineers who wish to work in an industrial area, research area, and educational organizations. The engineering students are taught to take special care of heat and temperature of equipment and enclosed environments in the working area. The program also teaches about design and analysis of steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, heat exchangers, propellers, turbines, pumps, flow separators, turbochargers, inlet manifolds, volutes, rotor-stator interactions, etc.
Eligibility Criteria :Applicants should have a graduate degree B.E/B. Tech in engineering with high minimum 60% of marks with a valid GATE score.
