It is located in Jaipur in an area of 317 acres. The institute was established in 1963 in the name of Malaviya Regional Engineering College. In June, 2002 the college got its present name. MNIT, Jaipur was recognized as Institute of National Importance in August, 2007 by the Act of Parliament.
Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur has organized its campus in four sectors namely, Instructional Buildings, Central facilities, Students Hostels and Staff Colony. The above has a central library, administrative block, branch of ICICI Bank Ltd, post office and dispensary. The MNIT, Jaipur campus also caters for many other facilities like canteen, guest houses and sports.
Placements :The Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur has a Placement Cell which invites companies, organizations, institutions for placements of undergraduate and post graduate students. The total number of placements for the year 2014-15 was 587. The highest package offered to the student was Rs.21 Lakhs per annum and the average package for B.Tech was Rs. 5.02 Lakhs per annum.
