Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT) conducts an all India level Common Admission Test (CAT) for those aspirants who are eager to take admission in various Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses related to Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management, Commerce and Computer applications offered by various institutes which are affiliated under Cochin University of Scien>ce And Technology.

• The candidates should have passed higher secondary examination or equivalent examination from recognized board or university with compulsory subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• The candidates must have scored at least 50% marks individually in Mathematics and 50% as an aggregate.
• The citizens of foreign country/ Children of Indian Gulf Workers are directly eligible to apply for registration, who meets the eligibility criteria.

CUSAT CAT is an objective type exam including 250 multiple choice questions based on syllabi of 10+2 level. Out of 250 questions,

1. Mathematics – 125 questions
2. Physics and Chemistry – 125 questions (with 3:2 ration)

The time duration of the exam is 3 hours. The applicants, who belong to general category, are supposed to obtain at least 10 marks in each subject i.e. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to be in eligibility list with respective rank. No such marking criteria exist for SC/ST applicants.
