JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM MAINS (JEE Main 2026)
JEE Main, often referred as Joint Entrance Examination Main is an engineering based entrance examination which is conducted for admitting students into a number of undergraduate engineering and professional courses. JEE Main directs these students at National Institute of Technology, abbreviated as NITs, Indian Institutes of Information Technology abbreviated as IITs and variant technical institutes called as CFTIs of India.
Eligibility :JEE Main entrance exam lists the eligibility criteria for the candidates so that they can appear into a number of exams as per their eligibility and appear in the engineering courses as per caliber. The JEE Main eligibility criteria are given below for the candidates:
- Adapting the new changes of the exam pattern, one mandatory change which has been accepted by the JEE body is the Aadhaar Card involvement. Although Aadhaar Card is necessary for all the JEE Main Candidates, candidates belonging to Assam, Meghalaya and J&K candidates doesn’t require the linking of the Aadhaar Card.
- Only those candidates are eligible for the JEE Main examination who are born in the year 1997 or after that in the month of October as per date 01. In short, the ones who are having their date of births on or after 01, October, 1997 are eligible for the JEE Main.
- An upper age limit relaxation of 5 years will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD candidates.
- A maximum of 4 chances will be given to the candidates for JEE Main. Candidates are always advised to check out their matching criteria so that no chance will be wasted because just appearing for JEE Main will not make you eligible for further admission process. Specially, the candidates of different states such as Punjab and Odisha are directed in detail.
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) refers to the JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern and is mentioned in the official notice. The official notice of JEE Main will be published on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main Exam 2026 will be conducted on two papers, Paper 1 (B.E / B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch or B.Plan).
