DELHI UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING Test (DUET)
Overview :
DUET often referred as Delhi University Entrance Test is an examination conducted by the
University of Delhi or commonly known as DU for the intention of allowing students and
applicants’ enrollment into a number of courses listing Undergraduate i.e. UG, Postgraduate
i.e. PG, Doctorate i.e. PhD programs and M.Phil. programs. Admission to all the courses
and departments is made on the basis of high end merit and cut off lists of Delhi University.
Even though, for admission into a bunch of few courses aspirants and applicants are require
to go through an entrance exam of DUET. The courses offered through DUET on the basis of
ranks are like - BSc Physical Education, Health Education & Sports Sciences, BA (Hons)
Multimedia and Mass Communication, BA (Hons) Business Economics, BBA Financial Investment
Analysis (FIA) [Admission is administered through DU JAT], BA (Hons) Humanities and Social
Sciences, BElEd, B.Tech (IT & Mathematical Innovations) and Bachelor of Management Studies
(BMS) [Admission is administered through DU JAT] .
Eligibility :
The eligibility criterion for the DUET that is Delhi University Entrance Test is as follows:
- Applicants and aspirants should have mandatorily studied and clear Mathematics in their
Class 12 in order to secure admission in B.Tech (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation)
course.
- Mathematics needs to be one of the subjects while calculating the aggregate percentage.
Apart from other four subjects, mathematics should be included and the aspirants should have
secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
Pattern :
- The DUET pattern of examination particularly for the engineering students, that is,
it will comprise of questions from Mathematics, Analytical ability and Reasoning section.
The exam will be based as per 10+2 level.
- A total of 100 questions will be asked from the different sections.
- A total duration of 2 hours will be given for solving problems.
- For every right answer 4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
