College Details :

It is one of the eight IITs’ established in the year 2008. It is located in Palaj, Gandhinagar on the banks of river Sabarmati. The campus spreads around 400 acres of land. The institute is ranked 8th by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in April, 2016.IIT, Gandhinagar provides hostel facilities to its students with basic amenities like medical, mess and canteen. The sports facilities available for the students are aquatic, atheletic, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, gymnasium, table tennis and volley ball. The Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar also hosts sports events at the campus. The Central Library of the institute has sumptuous collection to books, text books, cds’, e-journals and the collection is regularly updated.

Placements :

The Indian Institute of Technology,Gandhinagar has got its placement cell in 2010. It helps its graduating students in getting placed in chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering sectors of management, research and Information Technology. The main recruiters that visit IIT, Gandhinagar the campus are Alkyl, Altair, Avtec Ltd, Bharat Petroleum, Cognizant, Ericsson, JCB, Microsoft, Reliance Industries Ltd, Sapient, Tata Steel, Tata Power, Trident Group, Bharat Forge and many more. The highest package so far offered to the student is Rs 10.2 lakhs per annum.

Courses & Fees :

IIT Gandhinagar offers a four-year BTech course covering six engineering disciplines divided into eight semesters. IIT Gandhinagar also offers a variety of postgraduate courses, such as a three-year master's program in three disciplines, a two-year master's program in society and culture, a two-year MTech program in eight disciplines, and a three-year work-study program. And a one-year Graduate Diploma in Engineering (PGDIIT). In addition, the institute also offers doctoral programs in various disciplines such as engineering, science, humanities, and social sciences. IIT Gandhinagar provides UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs in engineering, science, humanities, and social sciences. The admission process of IIT Gandhinagar 2021 is completed through an online application. UG Courses :
  • IIT course Gandhinagar's four-yearBTechcourse in 2021 is enrolled through the JEE Advanced Entrance Exam, followed by counseling through the Joint Seat Allocation Agency (JoSAA).

PG Courses :
  • To get admission to the MTech course, candidates must have a valid GATE score, followed by a personal interview (PI). Admission notices for selected students are sent through COAP.
  • IIT Gandhinagar's MSc admission process is through IIT JAM.
  • For MA course courses, IIT Gandhinagar takes his own written test, and then PI.

Doctoral courses :
  • To enter the doctoral (Ph.D.) course, IIT Gandhinagar needs to take his own written test or receive a valid UGC NET / CSIR NET / GATE score. The student's final selection is based on the PI, the candidate's academic performance, statement of purpose, and overall candidacy.
