College Details :

It was established in the year 2008. It was among the eight IITs’ that was rooted by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011. The institute is located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and spreads on an area of 900 acres of land. It is also known as IIT, Jodhpur but the name sanctioned by the government is IIT, Jodhpur. The residential campus for its students and staff is temporary at present and is located New Pali Road, Jodhpur. It is connected to the academic centre by institute’s buses that operate at regular intervals. The library at IIT, Jodhpur has growing collection of books, e-books, e-journals, databases , periodicals, project reports, and thesis and faculty publications for its students. The collection is in the field of engineering, sciences, life sciences, humanities and social sciences. Courses & Fees :

IIT Jodhpur offers a total of 40 courses in 11 departments in the fields of engineering, science, humanities, and social sciences. At the UG level, IIT Jodhpur offers a four-year BTech course covering eight specialties. There are eight semesters of BTech courses. The unique feature of these IIT Jodhpur courses is that students can choose to convert BTech courses into a five-year dual BTech-MTech degree in the 7th semester.

At the PG level, the IIT Jodhpur course includes a two-year MTech and a two-year M.Sc. In addition, to the MTech and MSc courses, there are two dual degree courses: MSc-MTech and MTech-PhD.
