PDPU, a well-known university across India is called as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University. It is a university which is established through PDPU act and is situated in Gujarat along with owning a private status. The university is known to be located in the Knowledge Corridor of the Gandhinagar City around a distance of 23 km Ahmedabad. PDPU offers admissions enrollment to students through its entrance examination and distributes the total seats of 780 in a proportionate manner.

• Only Indian Nationals will be allowed to apply for the exam.
• All the candidates who want to apply for the exam should have cleared the first paper of JEE i.e. JEE Main Paper I
• Candidates should have studied PCM group of subjects at 10+2 level
• For general category, 45% marks is the qualifying basis and for SC/ST, 40% marks will be the basis of applying.

The pattern followed for getting into PDPU is revealed through its allocation and distribution of seats across India which is given below:

• 35% seats are on All India basis and will be fixed for the candidates who have qualified JEE Main examination
• 15% seats will be given to criteria justifying NRI candidates
• 50% seats will be provided to candidates passing through the state engineering entrance examination of GUJCET. Through Gujarat Quota and counseling sessions, the passed out candidates will be given seats.
