Exam DETAILS

SRM engineering entrance examination is an engineering based exam which is conducted by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology. SRMJEEE allows students to get enrolled into a number of courses of variant levels such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate. The SRMJEEE-UG is particularly created for the B.Tech admissions. SRM Institute of Science and Technology grants a major number of seats, almost 7000 across its different campuses. These four campuses are located at –Ramapuram, NCR Ghaziabad, Kattankulathur and Vadapalani. On the basis of the performance of the candidates, B.Tech admissions will be given to them.

• The candidates applying for the examination should be born in between the year of 1997 and 2002 and as per July 1 respectively.
• Candidates from India as well as from International level can apply for the SRMJEEE examination. Majorly those candidates who are of NRI status and having PIO or OCI card too can apply under the category of International Candidates.
• Applicants and candidates should be cleared in their senior secondary level i.e. 10+2 from a recognized and renowned board of education whether state or central with the minimum qualifying marks for the SRMJEEE. Even currently appearing candidates of the XII standard can openly apply for the examination.
• At 10+2 level or an equivalent standard, applicants should have cleared the exams with the mentioned subject list –Chemistry, Physics as the compulsory ones and Mathematics/ Biology/Biotechnology/Botany/Zoology as optional one.
• Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology/ Mathematics/Biotechnology in International Schools and in International Baccalaureate with Diploma or A-level certificate are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE.
• For B.Tech admissions, only those applicants are eligible to apply for the qualifying examination who have cleared the mentioned criteria in not more than 2 attempts.

• SRMJEEE examination is a university level exam which is conducted in a CBTa. Format i.e. Computer Based Test will be conducted.
• MCQs i.e. Multiple Choice Questions are given in the paper. So, out of all the options, the candidates have to choose the correct one.
• A total of 105 questions will be given in the paper where each subject of PCM group will consist of 35 questions.
• Every correct answer will grab 3 marks and since there is no negative marking scheme, so no deduction of marks will take place.
• The whole paper will be of 315 marks and that is the maximum score which can be obtained by a student.
• Only English language will be used for the paper.
