CENTAC (Centralized Admission Committee) is a Joint Entrance Test (JET) for the students to take admission in various engineering degree courses, particularly moving to B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) courses. This joint test is conducted by Pondicherry. It opens various doors of the success for the candidates as per level and rank achieved in the test. The candidate may get admission in respective college or institution constituted under Union Territory of Pondicherry as per rank or merit position achieved by the student. Since the direction and lime lightness of engineering has given new meaning to the lives of students, it is the most awaited test series always which is the most demanded.

1. The age of the candidate should be minimum 17 years old and maximum 21 years old till the month of December of the year in which he/she wants to appear for CENTAC JET Pondicherry.
2. The candidate must have completed his/ her Higher Secondary education or an equivalent other examination with at least 50% marks in totality.
3. The applicant must be a citizen of India or French national under the treaty of cessions.

The format and process of Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test, Pondicherry, contains three papers. Each paper is of two hours and is of objective nature consisting Multiple choice questions.

• Paper –I will include 60 questions of Mathematics subject.
• Paper –II will include 80 questions consisting 40 questions of Physics and 40 questions of Chemistry.
• Paper –III will include 100 questions consisting 50 questions of Botany and 50 questions of Zoology.

Those candidates, who want to take admission in B.Tech degree course, are supposed to appear in Papers I & II only. Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test (CENTAC JET) starts with application form filling process which is initiated in 2nd week of May and comes to an end in the last week of May. All the candidates are required to fill the form by reading it thoroughly and providing all the required details on official website of CENTAC Pondicherry. The list of shortlisted candidates will be announced in the 4th week of June and counseling will be commenced from last week of July.
