Dhirubhai Ambani Institute is a recognized name in the field of Information and Technology. It is actually an Information and Communication Technology university which is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Often called as DA-IICT, it is named after the founder of Reliance group, that is, Dhirubhai Ambani. Being a startup venture of Gujarati Entrepreneur Dhirubhai Ambani, now it is promoted by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. DA-IICT has a strong image of its existence worldwide. It started the intake of students from August 2001. The first batch comprised of 300 students who were allocated to an undergraduate course of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in ICT. Since, then DA-IICT has expanded so well that a long list of courses offered by the university came into existence with best faculty members and excellent knowledge based approach. Few of these courses are – Master of Sciences(M.Sc.) inInformation Technology as well as in Agriculture and Rural Development, Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master in Design (M.Des.) and even integrated and doctoral course programs. A bachelor degree offered by ICT is of 4 years. Since, 2001 DA-IICT is ruling and its first graduates passed out in 2005 whereas the post-graduate batch passed out in 2004.

The eligibility criteria for the DA-IICT entrance examination is as follows:

• The applicants must fulfill the minimum educational background required to get into the university along with necessary marks in the listed subjects at 10+2 level.
• Applicants must have the minimum age as mentioned in the modules of DA-IICT. To be specific, only those candidates,who are born on and after October, 01, 1992 are considered eligible for the examination. Usually, 10thand 12th passing certificates are used for verifying the age and authenticating it, so candidates must mention the age as per the date of birth mentioned in the certificates.
• The distribution of seats in DA-IICT is on the basis of National and Local level. 50% B.Tech. seatsare open for applicants across the nation belonging to All India Quota. Their admission is based on the JEE Main 2018 score, where the candidates are required to clear the exam along with the detailed eligibility parameters. The left over 50% seats are allocated to the students directly who have passed the qualifying examination or 12thfrom schools that belong to the state of Gujarat.

• No individual exam is conducted by the DA-IICT.
• Admissions are allowed and done on the basis of the rank secured by the candidate at All India Level in JEE Main 2018.
