University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES)
The reputed university of UPES came to existence and was established in the year 2003. This happened through UPES Act, 2003which has been mentioned under the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. Along With an ambitious vision and unique approach, UPES emerged and evolved as an innovative institution offering a number of courses including - industry-focused specialized graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in the listed key areas such as core Energy, Infrastructure, Information Technology, Design, Transportation, Public Policy and Legal studies and so on. Being recognized for conducting UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) in order to offer admissions to the aspirants who are planning to apply for B.Tech/B.Des and B.Plan programmes across the nation. For those students who are keenly interested in following and pursuing a career in Engineering, UPES holds the capability of offering them a special boutique of lifetime gifts in the form of specialised programmes in the sectors like Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation and Application IT.
Pattern :- Since, UPES-EAT follow a PBT approach, therefore this entrance exam is a paper-pencil based test. The test is of 3 hours duration. UPES-EAT engineering exam will consist of 200 multiple choice objective questions.
- UPES-EAT will be divided into five sections. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language Comprehension and Current Affairs Awareness are the five sections of the exam.
- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will constitute of 50 questions each and English Language Comprehensionwill comprise of 30 questions. Whereas, 20 questions will be asked from Current Affairs Awareness.
- Candidates will be awarded +1 markfor every correct answer. No negative marking will be followed up in the paper by the UPES-EAT. Moreover, no sectional cut off will be offered in the exam.

UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria 2023 :
Age Limit: All the candidates applying for admission to the University will be required to have an age of less than or equivalent to 22 years i.e., they should be born on or after October 1, 1999 to be eligible to apply.
JEE Main Merit Eligibility Criteria - A minimum of 50% marks at 10th & 12th class and a minimum of 50% aggregate in PCM at the 12th class.
Board Exam Merit Eligibility Criteria- Applicants need to get a minimum aggregate of 80% in their Class 10 and higher secondary (12th) exams, and a minimum aggregate of 80% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
SAT Exam Merit Eligibility Criteria - Candidates need to secure the SAT 2023 cut off of 50 percentiles and above.

- Click on the "Slot booking" link. (will be updated)
- Enter Email ID and Password.
- Select the date, time, and exam city details.
- To book a slot, click on the "Book Slot" button.
- Click on the “Confirm” button to confirm the exam slot.
- After that, you can download the admit card.
- Download it as a PDF file and take a printout of the same.
