Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET 2024) is a common platform for the students of Jammu and Kashmir to collect under one roof for an entrance examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) for getting eligibility for taking admission in Under-Graduate Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) offered by the government and private colleges of Jammu and Kashmir states. It gives a doorstep to the candidates who want to fly high by presenting their knowledge base and show their excellence to compete in this real world.

• The age of the candidate should be at least 17 years old as per date of form filling.
• For general category candidates, 50% marks is the minimum requirement for those who have passed 10+2 level examination with main subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
• The applicant must be a resident of Jammu & Kashmir only.

• JKCET 2024 is an entrance exam which is attempted offline with duration of 3 hours.
• In this test, there will be two sections, each for different category groups as -
  1. PCM group – for students who have opted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as basic subjects.
  2. PCB group – for students who have opted Physics, Chemistry and Biology as basic subjects.

Each section will consist of 180 questions and every subject will contribute 60 questions as -

1. PCM group – 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
2. PCB group – 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and biology

• 1 mark will be given to each correct answer and 0.25 will be deducted from each wrong question.
• English language should be used as medium to attempt the paper.
• The registration process will be started w.e.f. February , 2024 on the official website. Candidates can register for the same. The application forms for exam application will be available on the website till March, 2024.
• The candidates will be able to download admit cards from official website from June, 2024 by providing suitable parameters as Application number and date of birth etc.
• The result for the same will be declared on June 2024 on the official website.
• The counseling for JKCET 2024 will commence from Jul, 2024.
