All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) is conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research i.e. ICAR. The entrance examination is conducted for different programs such as – Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral in the respectable fields of agriculture and allied sciences. In order to shortlist the candidates; a well-planned examination process is followed. ICAR keeps a keen consideration in filling the seats through entrance examination and hence, 15% seats are allotted to Bachelor’s or Undergraduate programs. In addition to this, a National Talent Scholarship is awarded to deserving candidates of the UG courses in agriculture and allied sciences except the veterinary discipline in affiliated agricultural universities and 15% seats at NDRI in dairy technology on the basis of the score of AIEEA.

The eligibility parameters for ICAR AIEEA UG entrance examination is as follows:

• Only Indian Citizens are allowed to apply for ICAR AIEEA UG 2025 exam. Indian Citizenship is mandatory along with an age bar of 16 years as on August 31, 2025. Any one below that age cannot apply for the exam.
• Applications should have passed the Senior Secondary Examination i.e. 12th or 10+2 of Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE or any equivalent examination from an Indian Board which is recognized with one condition that they must have studied Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Biology/Home Science/Agriculture and English as their subjects at 10+2 level and have cleared the same in the last two years of 10+2 pattern of education.
• The qualifying percentage in order to get admission varies for different categories. For students belonging to OBC, UPS and General categories, the aggregate should not be less than 50% and on the other hand, for students belonging to SC, ST and PC categories, it is 40%.

The exam pattern especially for ICAR AIEEA UG entrance examination is as follows:

• 180 multiple choice questions or objective questions are given in the paper.
• The time duration for AIEEA is 2.5 hours.
• ICAR AIEEA entrance examination is divided into two streams – Stream A and Stream B. Applicants are allowed to choose any one of the two streams which comprises of different subject options like :
  
  
  1. Stream A consists of – Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agriculture as subjects
  2. Stream B consists of–Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as subjects
  
  
• One thing which students should keep in mind is that Stream A question paper will comprise of questions from both – Biology and Agriculture subjects and they are supposed to attempt only one subject out of these.
