RGIPT stands for Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology. It is one of the most reputed institutes located at Jais, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh via a defined act of Parliament. Moreover, the institute has been awarded the status of an “Institute of National Importance” just like the renowned institutes of India, called as IITs. • Candidates and applicants should have cleared the senior secondary examination with a minimum percentage aggregate of 60%
• For SC and ST candidates and applicants, the relaxation of 5% will be given. They are directed to score at least 55% in the XII standard for the qualifying examination.
• Applicants can get admission on the basis of the common merit list showcased of the IIT-JEE. The marks of IIT-JEE of the current year will be valid along with the extended merit list.
• Applicants and aspirants who have listed themselves in the reservation category can only be on the basis of the list or norm represented by the Government of India.
• Applicants must be of Indian Citizenship.

• The examination of RGIPT will be conducted in the English mode only.
• Since, the examination will be conducted in an online format, so CBT method will be followed.
• The examination pattern and structure will be similar to the Graduate Aptitude Test.
• All the questions will be of objective nature; hence candidates have to choose one option out of all.
• No negative marking scheme is followed, so no deduction of marks will take place.
