AMRITA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM (AEEE)

 
Overview :

AEEE, often referred as Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam is a national level Engineering Entrance examination which is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapith. This examination is particularly conducted for letting the students and applicants take admission into a number of courses and especially the four year B.Tech degree program. The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapith is known globally for offering engineering courses at its campuses. These campus locations are – Amritapuri in Kollam), Ettimadai in Coimbatore and Bengaluru.

Eligibility :

The AEEE entrance examination enlists these eligibility criteria which are as follows:

  • As per required age limit, the applicants and the candidates should not be born before July, 1997. That is, they shall be born either on or after 01st July 1997.
  • As per educational qualification, a candidate or an applicant must have obtained at least 60% marks in class XII or 10+2 level with mandatory subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Securing at least 55% marks in each subject individually is must.
  • Except the above guidelines, a three year diploma holder will also be eligible to apply for the AEEE examination. At least a minimum of 60% marks must be obtained by the candidate and the diploma should be awarded by the State Board of Technical Education.
  • Those students who are yet to appear for the examination in the current session of 2025 either in March/April can also apply.

Pattern :
  • AEEE will be held in two prospective modes, that is, both offline and online. The exam will follow both the patterns Computer Based i.e. CBT and Paper Based i.e. PBT.
  • Students and the applicants are advised to describe their preference for the mode of examination and strictly refrain from choosing both the options of modes while filling their application form, otherwise the same will be cancelled.
  • The AEEE exam will be conducted in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Total 2.5 hours will be given to the applicants to answer the questions.
  • A total of 100 questions will be given in the question paper which comprises of 300 marks. The individual distribution of the question paper will be like –
    1. 40 questions will be from Mathematics
    2. 30 questions will be from Physics
    3. 30 questions will be from Chemistry
  • 3 marks will be given for every right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer from candidate’s total score.
